The 2014 Tour of Britain is Coming to The Chilterns

Anybody interested in major sporting events should put Friday 12th September into their diary as the world's top cyclists will be racing through the Chilterns. This is the day Stage Six of Britain’s biggest professional cycle race will start in Bath then pass through Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire before the stage finish in Hemel Hempstead. At just over 200km, the stage will be one of the longest of the 2014 Tour of Britain and include several testing climbs in and around Chinnor and Princes Risborough. Details of the exact route however will not be confirmed until the summer so watch out for final details and then select the best viewing spot. Bringing the tour into the Chilterns is largely due to the work of Sara Randle, CTC Senior Development Officer for the Chilterns Sustainable Gateways Project and with the grateful cooperation of police forces and local authorities.
